Lin Li

Lin Li is an Assistant Professor of History at the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota. Lin received her Ph.D. in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies, after which she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University’s Clayman Institute for Gender Research. Lin’s research focuses on the dynamic interactions among structural injustice, historical memory, and popular culture in the contexts of the Japanese Empire and the post-WWII Asia-Pacific. She is currently preparing a monograph that examines the trans-Pacific emergence and struggle over historical memories of Japanese military sexual slavery.
