'In Manchuria' with Michael Meyer, award-winning author

Award-winning author Michael Meyer discusses his newly-published book "In Manchuria: A Village Called Wasteland and the Transformation of Rural China." This work is a fascinating study of a rice-growing community in Northeast China undergoing the country's high-pressure process of development and how the village's experience reflects the tides of history.
He previously wrote "The Last Days of Old Beijing," a poignant chronicle of a disappearing way of life in the centuries-old lanes and traditional courtyard homes being demolished in China's capital.
